World War 2 Inspiration

The main story of The Wonder City begins during World War 2 era New York City.  One of the fun parts of visually researching the story was how to insert the feeling of the wartime homefront into the background of a story that jumps around in history so often.  I decided to have some fun with the ubiquitous propaganda posters of the era.  I used two of my favorites as front and back interior covers in Book 2, replacing the female subjects of the posters with our own homefront female characters, Edwina and Velma.
